Employee Assistance Program
Offers free and confidential help with personal, family, and work-related problems, as well as web-based articles and courses on a range of work/life issues.

Provides advice, counsel and training to human resources officers, supervisors and staff members on a range of employment-related issues.

Local Offices of Human Resources
Advises managers and staff on a wide range of issues, including organizational development, performance management, disciplinary procedures, and relations with the unions.

Provides information and counsel about affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, quality of life issues for women, people of color and students and employees with alternate lifestyles.

University Ombuds Office
Helps individuals concerned about workplace conditions and the academic environment find solutions to problems that they may have been unable to resolve using normal channels.

Longwood Medical Area

Harvard Medical Center Office of Work and Family
Offers free consultations, information and referrals on childcare, eldercare and other family-related services. Lunchtime programs, seminars and support groups are held in the medical area throughout the academic year

Joint Committee on the Status of Women
Facilitates the development and contribution of women within HMS and HSDM by expanding and improving the opportunities for the advancement of women.

Medical Area Ombuds Office
Strives to see that people are treated fairly and equitably at HMS, HSDM, and HSPH, by increasing awareness of alternatives available for resolving work-related problems.

Office For Diversity And Community Partnership
Promotes increased recruitment, retention and advancement of underrepresented minority faculty at HMS and to oversee all diversity activities involving HMS faculty, trainees, students and staff.

Center for Workplace Learning and Performance
Provides career development programs to help HMS/HSDM employees enhance their management, communications, and leadership skills.
