Welcome HMS/HSDM Postdoctoral Research Fellows!

The HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows works to enhance the development and experience of the postdoctoral community by recognizing the valuable contributions of postdoctoral scholars, developing a firm foundation on which to build a comprehensive training and career development experience, encouraging individual responsibility, fostering mentoring and cultivating a sense of community.

Through a combination of administrative initiatives and educational activities, the HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows actively assists postdoctoral fellows in obtaining the skills necessary to pursue both academic and non-traditional careers in science and beyond. By supplementing the training received in the laboratory with career development guidance and ancillary research skills instruction, the office seeks to maintain the institutional reputation of recruiting and training the best biomedical researchers and scientific leaders of tomorrow.

A Note for Prospective Fellows

The HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows does not conduct placement of either research or clinical fellows. CVs sent to the Office for Postdoctoral Fellows will not be reviewed or forwarded. If you are seeking a position as a postdoctoral scholar at HMS or HSDM, please contact the faculty/lab you wish to work with directly. Fellowship Verification

Should you or a prospective employer need verification of the dates of your academic appointment at Harvard Medical School or School of Dental Medicine, please send a brief letter detailing the request via fax to Human Resources at (617) 432-3280. Please include the word "VERIFICATION" on the fax cover sheet. Be advised that verification requests may take up to two weeks to fulfill.

Please note the HMS/HSDM Office for Postdoctoral Fellows does not issue certificates of completion to Postdoctoral Fellows and the employment verification provided by Human Resources should not be deemed as such.
